National Autism Strategy Expression of Interest

As we approach the conclusion of this Expression of Interest phase and anticipate the forthcoming stage, I extend my appreciation to Hon Amanda Rishworth MP, and the DSS team, including Luke Mansfield PSM, Pru McPherson, and Annabell Fenton, to name a few.

Your commitment to advancing the strategy from development to the implementation phase with the secured funding is commendable.

I am eager to witness the positive outcomes during the implementation phase. It is also encouraged, as advocated in the Australian Autism Alliance Federal Election commitments, for a unified commitment from all States & Territories, in alignment with the National Autism Strategy. Shifting the dial for Autistic people needs an integrated and interconnected government focus to close the accountability gaps between systems.

The successes in SA and Victoria serve as inspiring examples of what can be accomplished and the societal value it brings.
