Alliance keeps up the pressure on Thriving Kids’ implementation

The families of young Queensland children with autism are on tenterhooks, as calls for certainty about future access to support go unanswered.

Queensland is the only state or territory not to sign on to the new Thriving Kids support program outside of the NDIS. Nicole Hegarty of the ABC reported on the state of uncertainty in Queensland in the video below.

Jenny Karavolos (Independent Co-Chair of the Australian Autism Alliance) was interviewed as part of this report, and our commitment to keep up the pressure on all Australian Governments to ensure that systems work for all our kids and that no child is worse off or left behind as a result of the Thriving Kids rollout.
